Privacy Policy

SoccerView is operated by SportsView LLC ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), a Kansas limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the SoccerView mobile application ("App"), how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

SoccerView is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information and do not require user accounts or login.

Automatically Collected

• Device Identifier: A randomly generated anonymous identifier (UUID) stored locally on your device. This is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, Google account, or any personal information. It is used to associate feedback submissions with a device and to look up SoccerView Pro subscription status for the device. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receives it as your anonymous customer ID.
• Crash Reports and Diagnostics: We use Sentry to collect crash reports, error logs, performance data, and limited session replay data. This includes device type, operating system version, app version, stack traces, and a random installation ID created by Sentry. Session replays capture app screen interactions (not camera, microphone, or personal content) to help us diagnose bugs. We have updated the App so that it records a session replay only when an error occurs, and so that Sentry does not record the IP address a report is sent from. Until the App on your device receives that update, it also records a replay of a small sample of sessions (about 1 in 10), and Sentry records the IP address each report is sent from.
• Search Terms: When you search on the Rankings, Teams, or Leagues tab, we record the words you searched for, which tab you searched on, how many results were found, how closely the best result matched, how long the search took, and when it happened. This record is not linked to your device identifier or any other identifier. We use it to measure and improve search results and speed.
• App Usage Events: When you open the SoccerView Pro upgrade screen, or open, share, or save a team's Game Day or Season Finale card, we record that action, the team it was for (if any), and when it happened. This record is not linked to your device identifier or any other identifier. We use it to understand which features are used so we can improve the App.
• Basic Device Information: Device type and operating system version for compatibility purposes.

Voluntarily Provided

• Feedback and Ratings: If you choose to submit feedback or a satisfaction rating through the App, we collect your rating (1-5), optional text comments, and your anonymous device identifier. Feedback may include metadata about the team or feature you were viewing when submitting.
• Favorites: Teams you mark as favorites are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number, or address)
• We do not collect location data or GPS coordinates
• We do not require account creation or login to use the App
• We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes

Subscriptions and Payment Data

If you purchase a SoccerView Pro subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on where you downloaded the App. We do not receive, process, or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. We receive only your subscription status from RevenueCat: which Pro product you purchased, the store, the purchase and expiration dates, and the latest subscription event (for example, a renewal or cancellation). We store this with your anonymous device identifier so the App can unlock Pro features.

Data Sources

The soccer team rankings, match results, league standings, and statistics displayed in SoccerView are compiled from publicly available sources across multiple platforms. This data pertains to youth soccer clubs and their publicly reported match results. No individual player data is collected or displayed.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Sentry (sentry.io): Crash reporting, error tracking, and limited session replay for error diagnosis. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.
• Expo (expo.dev): App framework and over-the-air updates. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev/privacy.
• Supabase (supabase.com): Backend database service for sports data and for the limited app data described in this policy (feedback, subscription status, search terms, and usage events).
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): Subscription management (when Pro tier is active). Processes subscription status only; does not receive payment details. Privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Data Retention

Feedback submissions, search terms, and usage events are retained for the purpose of improving the App. Crash reports are retained by Sentry according to their data retention policies. You may request deletion of any feedback you have submitted by contacting us.

Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

SoccerView displays publicly available information about youth soccer teams (team names, match scores, league standings). We do not collect, display, or store personal information about individual players, including minors. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Your Rights

You may:

• Request information about what data we have associated with your device identifier
• Request deletion of feedback submissions or other data associated with your device
• Clear your local favorites and device identifier by uninstalling and reinstalling the App

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
